How is POAS different from ROAS?

ROAS (Return On Ad Spend) measures revenue generated per euro of ad spend. POAS (Profit On Ad Spend) measures actual profit — after COGS, shipping, and ad spend. A campaign can have a great ROAS and still be losing money if your margins are thin. POAS is what actually hits your bank account.

How does the Conversion API integration work?

GetPOAS calculates true profit per order in real time — using your COGS data and shipping costs — and sends that profit value to Meta's Conversions API and Google Ads Conversion API as the conversion value. Instead of sending revenue as the signal, you send profit. The ad platform's algorithm then learns to optimize for customers who generate actual margin, not just high order values.

What if my COGS data isn't perfectly organized?

You don't need perfect data to start. GetPOAS imports product costs directly from Shopify if they're already there. You can also bulk-upload a CSV. Approximate margins still massively outperform sending no margin signal at all — the algorithm needs something better than revenue, and even rough COGS data gives it that.

Will changing my conversion signal break my campaigns?

No. GetPOAS doesn't replace your existing tracking — it adds profit data as the conversion value. Your campaigns continue running. The algorithm gradually shifts toward higher-margin customers as it receives better signals. Most brands see measurable POAS improvement within 2–4 weeks.
